As a HSEQ Compliance Auditor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team responsible for one of our contracts, reporting to the contract’s HSEQ Lead. Your role involves promoting compliance across the business, escalating issues, ensuring employees are aware of raised issues, and promoting document control and system compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review risk assessments and conduct site audits to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed across contract sites.
2. Coach and support staff on HSEQ policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
3. Generate detailed reports on audit findings, compliance levels, risks, and recommendations.
4. Liaise with external auditors, clients, and regulatory bodies to address non-conformities.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance health and safety performance and best practices.
6. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a proactive HSEQ approach.
7. Advise leadership on HSEQ matters, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements.
8. Provide weekly compliance reports, highlighting trends, KPIs, incident rates, and actions.
9. Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, including CDM Regulations and Permit to Work systems.
10. Identify non-conformances and escalate potential impacts.
11. Support the provision of comprehensive contract and management reports.
Experience and Qualifications
* Experience as an HSEQ Auditor or similar role.
* HSEQ qualification such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
