What We Are Looking For

The role of the Logistics Technician is to support the management of the company stock and inventory. You will be responsible for managing the receipting of all incoming goods into stores and other stock control duties, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control.


Responsibilities And Tasks

* Goods Receipt: receipt of deliveries to site, including notification of deliveries to other departments; produce accurate inspection records and provide feedback on supplier performance to the procurement team; create detailed records of any non‑conforming items to facilitate effective communication, corrective action and preventative action.
* Dispatch: safe, effective packing of finished goods and other materials.
* Production Support: generate ‘kit lists’ and pick items against works orders to support the team production schedule; receipt of internally produced items into stock, including spot checks for expected documentation.
* General stores and inventory management: maintain a safe working environment within the Stores areas and observe all current Health and Safety legislation, including basic house‑keeping; utilise ‘SAP B1’ ERP software effectively to maintain accurate stock levels and material traceability; manage the layout and utilisation of stores to maximise capacity and throughput; coordinate stock counts and reconcile against inventory; contribute to the development of operational procedures to achieve consistency of output, improve efficiency and reduce waste; participate in process audits to drive continuous improvement efforts.


Qualifications

* Computer literate with knowledge of stock handling systems.
* Experience of working with an ERP system.
* Physically capable of lifting and moving boxes of stock around by hand.
* Experience of working with couriers and shipping agents.
* Knowledge of IPC A‑610/IPC WHMA‑A‑620 would be advantageous.
* Possess good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Soft Skills: strong interpersonal skills; able to effectively prioritise tasks requested by a variety of stakeholders; able to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative; ability to communicate with other staff when required.
* Personal Attributes: ambition to continuously develop and maintain excellent workplace standards; excellent attention to detail; able to work methodically and in a structured way; conscientious and works to continually build relationships and efficient processes; demonstrate a flexible attitude to work.
