About the role: We are looking for a Sales Tender Specialist to work in our team based in Hounslow, London area. The role is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in tendering activities for Commercial Vehicles. Working location: Fully Office-based, Hounslow Main Tasks and responsibilities: Support the Business Development Manager in tendering activities; Collect tender information via various channels, review tender requirements, assessing risks, identifying key deliverables, and clarifying ambiguities. Participate in pre-bid meetings and post-tender negotiations; Compile high-quality responses for bid submission within required timescales, working closely with the Business Development Manager; Coordinate with internal departments, including, finance, technical, and legal, to collect required documentation and input for tenders;. Lead tender meetings/presentations/Q&A sessions, compiling meeting minutes and monitoring follow-up actions; Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and industry partners during the bidding process; Coordinate tender documentation and provide constructive feedback on inputs received to maximise our success; Develop and update the library of tender resources/materials; Ensure all processes are followed and necessary documents completed/updated/filed in the database; Maintain a tracker for all open tenders and updating outcomes for audit and reporting purposes; Carry out post-tender reviews/analysis and following up on feedback received to drive improvements for future submissions; Engage regularly in market research to understand competitor landscape; Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes; Other related activities and contingent assignments; Report to Business Development Manager. Ideal candidate profile: Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in Commercial/ Tendering/Sales role, ideally in bus and coach industry; Bachelor's degree and above preferred; Strong knowledge of procurement/tender processes and contract terms; Thorough understanding of ESG; Technical understanding about electric vehicles and/or buses would be advantageous; Good command of English is essential, excellent written and verbal communication skills; Confident communicator; Excellent time management, organisational and analytical skills; Ability to cope with tight deadlines and to manage multiple tenders simultaneously; Keen attention to detail; Effective project management and negotiation capabilities; Adept at interpreting large volumes of information and summarising key points; Good interpersonal skills, strong team collaboration and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally; Proactive, ability to work independently and resourceful; Computer proficient, especially in the use of MS Office.
