Overview
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Sunderland from January on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role
* Plan and teach engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and enable all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
* Stretch and challenge the learning and progress of all pupils.
* Build positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
* Manage challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
* Differentiate lessons to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
* Use varied methods of assessment to monitor and report pupil progress.
* Display high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
* Work effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure pupils receive the best possible educational experience.
About the School
* The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Sunderland.
* Role may be across any age group from EYFS to Year 6, depending on experience, specialism and preference of the successful candidate.
* The school has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, with staff working as a team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract
* Pay: Between (Apply online only) per day
* Contract: Full-time until December with option to extend. Temporary Contract.
* Start Date: 22nd Sept
* Location: Sunderland
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements
* An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service; a new DBS can be processed if needed)
* QTS and Primary School teaching experience within the UK.
* Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
* Experience using a range of methods to assess pupil progress
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* A positive and resilient attitude towards teaching and work
* Experience of teaching within the UK
* A genuine passion for teaching
