THE WOLLATON PU & KITCHEN is a vibrant and highly regarded establishment known for top quality British Gastro Food. We are passionate about delivering an exceptional pub dining experience and are now looking for a talented and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen. This includes managing a team of chefs, creating seasonal menus, maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring cost-effective kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen brigade
Take ownership and responsibility for the kitchen department
Ensure consistency and excellence in food preparation and presentation
Monitor food costs and inventory control
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with management on new offerings and promotions
What Were Looking For
Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality kitchen
A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and innovative cuisine
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong understanding of kitchen management, cost control, and food hygiene standards (Level 3 Food Safety preferred)
Ability to thrive under pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment

To qualify for this role, you must have at least 5 years Head Chef experience in a kitchen which turns over 1500+ covers per week and demonstrate the ability to maintain a strong kitchen team to achieve a - GP% of 73% and above.
