Treasurer Bath Cats & Dogs Home
* Location:Bath (hybrid: in-person + online)
* Salary:Voluntary
* Time Commitment:Six trustee meetings per year, plus AGM, Strategy Day, four Finance, Audit & Risk Committee meetings, and two Remuneration Committee meetings annually.

Bath Cats & Dogs Home exists to ensure every cat and dog gets the rescue, rehabilitation and loving home they deserve. Alongside hands on animal care, the charity supports pet owners through education and early intervention preventing crisis before it starts.
With nearly 800 animals helped annually, sound financial stewardship is essential to the charitys mission. Thats where you come in.
The Opportunity
As Treasurer, you will be the charitys financial guardian, shaping strategy, strengthening governance, and ensuring the long-term financial health that allows the team to continue its life changing work.
Youll chair finance committees, guide fellow trustees on financial matters, and provide insight that supports confident, responsible decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee financial governance, regulation and investment
* Lead the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee
* Monitor reporting and provide clear, accessible financial updates
* Advise on the financial implications of major decisions
* Present annual statements at the AGM
* Oversee the finance and business risk register
* Act as counter-signatory on statutory documentation
You will bring:
* Experience as a trustee or within charity finance
* A recognised professional finance qualification
* Understanding of charity fundraising, SORP and regulatory requirements
* Excellent communication skills able to translate complex financials
* A collaborative, solutions-based mindset
* A genuine commitment to the values of Bath Cats & Dogs Home
