Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled, creative, and strategic Editorial Manager who shares our passion for evangelism and wants to join our dynamic team in Dallas, United States, or Solihull, United Kingdom. This role is responsible for the editorial leadership of the CV Platform initiative, overseeing a team that transforms CV’s global fieldwork, data, and insights into compelling, evangelistic content. Reporting to the Content Manager, you will manage the editorial workflow from concept to final draft, ensuring every article, course, and resource is clear, engaging, and aligned with CV’s mission. You will champion editorial quality, mentor journalists and writers, and shape narratives that help activate Christians in evangelism by providing practical, data‑informed tools and stories for the Church.
Specific Responsibilities
* Lead the editorial process from first draft to Content Manager sign‑off, coaching and reviewing all outputs for clarity, accuracy, and missional alignment.
* Uphold CV’s editorial standards – ensuring content is evangelistic, actionable, persona‑driven, and compelling.
* Review Article Briefs submitted by Insights Journalists for completeness and strategic fit; elevate briefs that require production or video support to the Content Manager before assignment.
* Guide the development of courses and lesson scripts, ensuring they are pedagogically sound, accessible, and designed for evangelistic impact.
* Coach the editorial team in investigative, data‑driven, and narrative storytelling, fostering curiosity, depth, and theological integrity.
* Manage editorial workflows in Jira and Craft CMS, ensuring smooth progression of briefs, drafts, and metadata for localisation and publishing.
* Collaborate with the Editorial Writer, Videographers, and Creative Team to produce cohesive, multi‑format storytelling across copy, design, and video.
* Partner with the Localisation Manager to ensure all content is translation‑ready and culturally adaptable.
* Work with Marketing and Operations to interpret performance data (GA4, HubSpot, Power BI) and adjust editorial direction based on insight.
* Identify and repackage high‑performing content into new formats, series, or learning resources to extend reach and impact.
* Line‑manage Insights Journalists and a Writer, setting priorities and providing regular feedback; lead editorial stand‑ups, one‑to‑ones, and retrospectives to maintain a healthy team rhythm and output.
* As part of a global organisation, you will be required to collaborate across time zones, which may involve out‑of‑hours availability.
General Responsibilities
* Actively pursue personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
* Contribute positively to our team culture by upholding CV’s values in attitude and action.
* Comply with all CV policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all matters.
* Engage fully in staff and team meetings, collaboration, and communication.
* Commit to continuous learning and development as needed for the role.
* Foster respectful, clear, and constructive communication across all interactions.
* Be a practising Christian in full agreement with the CV Statement of Faith.
* Actively involved in a local church or Christian faith community.
* Committed to living according to biblical values.

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in editorial roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management capacity.
* Proven track record managing multi‑format content (articles, insights, long‑form narrative, and courses) in digital or global ministry contexts.
* Strong editing and coaching abilities — refining clarity, tone, flow, and theological integrity.
* Proficient in Craft CMS, Jira, and metadata management workflows.
* Confident in applying SEO, discoverability, and accessibility standards.
