D1 Home to School Driver
Note: The salary listed is for full-time employment and will be pro-rated for term-time-only positions.
The role involves safely transporting special educational needs (SEN) children for the London Borough of Richmond and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, based at either our Richmond (Twickenham) or Kingston (New Malden) depots, for home-to-school transport.
About the role
The purpose of SEN transport is to provide specialized home-to-school transport for children and young people with SEN needs, ensuring they have equal educational opportunities.
As a D1 Home to School Driver, your responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring vehicles are fit for purpose
2. Meeting agreed collection, drop-off, and journey times
3. Ensuring the safety and welfare of all passengers
4. Working effectively with the passenger assistant
