Overview
Direct Energy Deposition (DED) Project Manager (Additive Manufacturing) – UK or France based (H/F). Based in Gloucester (UK) or Velizy (France) with Safran Landing Systems UK Ltd, role advertised via AEROCONTACT.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver strategic Direct Energy Deposition (DED) Additive Manufacturing (AM) projects across Safran Landing Systems.
* Define and execute the DED technological roadmap, including managing project schedules and budgets.
* Coordinate with multi-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of innovations.
* Manage risk, governance rituals, work breakdown structures (WBS), and cross-site collaboration (international travel as needed).
* Support the Performance & Support team with project leadership from initiation through to execution and delivery.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
* Proven experience in additive manufacturing or aerospace landing gear.
* Fluent in French and English (written and verbal) with the ability to present at senior levels.
* Strong project management skills: development planning, governance, WBS, risk analysis and mitigation.
* Creative and persistent mindset with ability to overcome technical and project challenges.
* Willingness to travel regularly; international travel approximately once per month (may vary).
* Experience collaborating with universities, research institutions, and ecosystems in technology partnerships.
