What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a Head of School to join our small, friendly and dedicated staff team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a maintained nursery school as Head of School. Our school is part of a wider family of Nursery Schools across the county that work together, so you will work with the Kingsdown Nursery School team as well as our wider team. Driving is essential.
With support from our Executive Headteacher, you will be the day‑to‑day contact for our children, staff and families. Therefore, you need to be positive, smiley, friendly and approachable. You need to be confident in your decisions and able to use your initiative. We are looking for someone who is organised and can think on their feet.
You need to believe that early education has the power to change children’s lives and want to offer our families the very best early years curriculum.
Part of your role will be as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked After Children.
You will be required to teach as part of the role but this will vary depending on the needs of the school.
We are passionate about our work with the wider Early Years sector so sharing good practice and supporting other schools and settings will be part of your role.
We strive to constantly improve and a key element to this is realising we are never finished. We are constantly looking for ways to be even better.
What the school offers its staff
Kingsdown Nursery School is a maintained nursery school for 2‑4 year olds. It is proudly part of the Lincolnshire Maintained Nursery School Federation. You will have support from the Executive Headteacher and the other Heads of School.

As a maintained school you will work with Lincolnshire County Council.
