We are a client-focused, growing accountancy practice looking for a confident and experienced accountant to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail driven accountant who is looking for variety, can take responsibility and is looking to build long-term relationships. In this hands-on role you will be trusted to manage a multitude of clients and provide excellent service, playing a key role in shaping the future of the practice.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
· Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
· Overseeing client bookkeeping work
· Supporting clients with payroll and CIS returns when required
· Preparation of VAT Returns and management accounts
· Supporting and assisting junior members of staff
· Liaising with clients to resolve queries as necessary
· Liaising with HMRC as required
· Use of software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and other cloud-based software.
Qualifications & Skills
We are specifically looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and a client-first approach.
· AAT qualified or Part Qualified ACA/ACCA (qualified also considered)
· Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
· Able to work independently and meet deadlines with confidence
· Strong working knowledge of Xero
· A commitment to paying attention to details and doing the right job
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
