Role Summary
The Warehouse Operative will support the day-to-day operations of the dispatch area, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently. This role requires a reliable, safety-conscious individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities As a Warehouse Operative
* Daily Operations: Arrive early to review the packing plan, prepare tray labels, and coordinate with the Dispatch Team Leader. Ensure pallets are correctly stacked and arranged for easy loading.
* Safety & Compliance: Follow dispatch procedures, complete daily forklift checks, and report any hazards or accidents. Maintain a tidy and organised dispatch area.
* Operational Support: Load lorries safely and efficiently, handle defective trays, and ensure all operational systems and documentation are correctly completed.
Experience And Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative in a fast-paced production environment, particularly in dispatch or logistics.
* Understanding of food production is preferred.
* Proactive and detail oriented with good problem-solving skills
* Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential with the ability to operate machinery safely.
