Role | Legal Assistant - Private Client
Based | Ilkley (fully office based)
Experience | Previous experience in a busy legal environment (Private Client advantageous)
Offer | £24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
We are working with a well-established law firm based in West Yorkshire who are looking to appoint a Legal Assistant to support their Private Client team. This role will involve providing full administrative support to Fee Earners, helping to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and in line with regulatory and internal standards.
The position would suit someone who is organised, proactive, and confident dealing with clients, with an interest in Private Client work such as Wills and Probate.
Typical Duties would include
* Managing client matters using a case management system (Proclaim)
* Preparing and maintaining legal files and documentation
* Diary management and coordination of client appointments
* Drafting client correspondence and handling calls/enquiries
* Supporting billing, admin tasks, and witnessing legal documents
Successful Candidate
* Previous experience within a legal environment (Private Client desirable)
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organised with good attention to detail
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and case management systems
* A positive, team-focused approach with the ability to manage workload
