The Ebrington Hotel is now seeking to recruit a Wedding & Events Co-Ordinator for their premises, Ebrington Square, Derry-Londonderry:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
The Wedding and Events Co-Ordinator will be responsible for driving growth in weddings, events, and conferences at the Ebrington Hotel. This role requires a dynamic and proactive leader who can develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets across all sectors, ensuring the hotel remains a top destination for events in the City. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to create memorable experiences and will be present on-site to oversee the smooth execution of weddings and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
To promote all the hotel's facilities to each of the hotel's market segments.
To achieve maximum sales revenue with particular emphasis on new Business Groups and new Conference business.
To maintain an up to date knowledge of changing market trends and of client activity with our major competitors.
To solicit business by generating and following up leads with hotel show rounds, attending trade shows and other promotional events organised by the hotel or where the hotel has a need to be represented.
Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales across weddings, events, and conferences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to enhance the hotel's reputation and attract new business.
Create targeted marketing campaigns to drive bookings.
Achieve and exceed sales targets for all sectors.
Wedding & Event Planning & Management:
Work with clients to understand their vision and needs, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure their event/wedding is executed flawlessly.
Plan and coordinate all aspects of events/weddings, from initial enquiry to execution, including liaising with internal departments and external vendors.
Create detailed event/wedding proposals and contracts, ensuring clarity on all aspects of the event.
Manage budgets effectively, ensuring profitability while maintaining high standards of service.
On-the-Day Coordination:
Be available on-site during weddings and important events to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, motivate, and develop the events team, providing training and support to ensure high levels of performance.
Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the team and across departments.
Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional development.
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain accurate records of all events, including contracts, budgets, and client communications.
Prepare regular reports on event performance, including financial outcomes and client feedback.
Ensures own function operates within cost restraints
Maintains effective correspondence with all accounts and departments within the hotel.
Communicates guests' requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner
Requirements:
Proven experience in wedding/event management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong sales and business development skills with a track record of achieving targets.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple events simultaneously.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to events.
Experience in wedding planning and coordination.
Familiarity with the local market and industry trends in Northern Ireland and the surrounding areas.
