Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Patna Primary School, Patna. The post is valid until 18 August 2026. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, under the direction of the line manager. The full-time equivalent salary ranges from £24,333 to £25,353 annually, with actual part-time salary between £16,398 and £17,085 annually.
