Job Description
We at Work Lyf Group are recruiting for a Wagon Fleet Manager for our well-established client based in the Doncaster area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team, ensuring the delivery of maintenance in accordance with respective plans and schemes of work. This role fulfills the responsibilities and requirements of the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM), specifically Fleet Maintenance Management (ECM3).
Principle Accountabilities
1. Ensure wagon compliance regarding maintenance management in accordance with ECM regulations.
2. Line management responsibility for the Wagon Fleet Maintenance Management Team, including their professional development through coaching, mentoring, and training.
3. Lead the management of maintenance activities, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear communication and execution of plans.
4. Maintain wagons to meet business requirements, identifying efficiencies where possible.
5. Manage wagon maintenance activities, aligning capacity, resources, and material availability for efficient delivery.
6. Ensure vehicles are presented to maintenance locations in line with plans and schemes of work.
7. Manage the Wagon Fleet Maintenance budget in collaboration with the finance team and stakeholders to control expenditure.
8. Work with the Asset Management & Maintenance (AM&M) function to ensure depot workloads are managed and plans are executed timely.
9. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including asset details, defect reports, and warranty information.
10. Lead and support continuous improvement strategies, including development of the company Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Experience & Minimum Requirements
* Minimum of five years’ experience working within an engineering environment.
* Demonstrable maintenance management experience, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring complex fleets/assets.
* Technical knowledge related to railway traction and rolling stock or similar industries.
* Established general management skills, including financial and safety management.
* Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Asset Management Systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP).
* Experience in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI.
* Strong communication skills, confident in presenting to all organizational levels.
Qualifications & Personal Requirements
* BEng or equivalent in a STEM discipline or relevant time-served experience.
* Personal track safety certificate, including AC & DC electrified lines.
* Valid driving license.
