About the Role

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimising complex processing and packaging equipment, ensuring efficiency, safety, and performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated and electromechanical equipment
* Support breakdown response and transition into preventive maintenance activities
* Diagnose faults across processing, filling, conveying, and packaging systems
* Apply both electrical and mechanical engineering principles to resolve issues
* Conduct root cause analysis for recurring faults and major breakdowns
* Track and analyse maintenance data to improve reliability and performance
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, Kaizen)
* Support new projects, upgrades, and ongoing technical development
Shift Pattern
* 12-hour shifts
* 2 days (07:00 – 19:00)
* 2 nights (19:00 – 07:00)
* 4 days off (repeat cycle)
What You’ll Bring
* Electrical engineering background (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience)
* Knowledge of electrical standards (e.g. BS7671) or similar
* Experience working with automated machinery, PLCs, or robotics
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Experience with maintenance, calibration, or technical systems
* Ability to adapt to different control systems and technologies
* Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach
