Shaw Healthcare is looking for a nurse to join the team in Homefield House, Basingstoke. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those we care for. About The Service
Homefield House is a specialist care centre providing long and short stay dementia nursing care for the elderly, situated in a semi‑rural location at Park Prewett on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The home provides 24 single bedrooms divided into six separate self‑contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess patients' health and care needs and develop care plans
* Administer medication and monitor service users' responses
* Provide nursing care, including wound and palliative care
* Coordinate personalised care in liaison with other healthcare professionals
* Support service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing and toileting
* Provide emotional support to service users and their families
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records
* Work within Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
* Participate in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications And Experience
* NMC registered nurse
* Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia‑related conditions
* Knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to work independently and use own initiative
* Commitment to continuing professional development
