About The Role
As our Business Administration Manager, you will lead and manage our Corporate Administrative Team and support the smooth operation of executive and governance functions across the NHS Board, Integration Joint Board, and Health & Social Care Partnership.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of 14 administrative staff, overseeing workload planning, performance management, recruitment, appraisals and development.
* Foster a culture of compassion, openness, respect and excellence.
* Drive service improvement by developing and implementing improved administrative systems, digital tools and business processes, supporting statutory reports, governance requirements and corporate priorities.
* Play a central role in service redesign and digital transformation.
* Coordinate efficient business support for Executive Directors, senior leaders and committees.
* Oversee corporate correspondence, diaries, meetings, records management and knowledge systems.
* Maintain high standards of information governance and data security.
* Support corporate governance by managing policy libraries, SOPs, reports and assurance materials.
* Support statutory reporting and external consultations.
* Ensure compliance with NHS policies, workforce processes and legislative requirements.
* Work closely with senior leaders, contributing to strategic planning, business continuity and directorate performance.
* Represent the directorate and support organisation-wide improvement activity.
About You

Essential Requirements
* Business degree (or equivalent experience/knowledge).
* Postgraduate qualification or evidence of ability to operate at that level.
* Proven experience leading teams in a complex organisation.
* Strong understanding of NHS pressures, governance and procedures.
* Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
* High digital competence including Microsoft 365, Teams and business systems.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑demand environment.
* Commitment to compassionate leadership and continuous improvement.
Desirable
* Project management qualification or demonstrable experience.
* Familiarity with systems such as InPhase, TURAS, JobTrain, eESS, Loop Allocate.
