To assure the quality and quantity of GRP sheet ready for despatch to all customers (Internal & external). To ensure that all GRP sheet quality checks are being performed and are within specified tolerances and timeframes. To escalate and provide containment of any products outside of the required standard. To organise and coordinate the movement and storage of GRP sheet stacks within the yard maintaining a safe, clean, uncluttered environment. To be the point of contact for all GRP sheet ready for transit.
About The Role
* To set a high standard of conduct by acting as a role model to operators and to ensure that Brett Martin policies and standards are always maintained. These include, but are not exhaustive of, ISO9001, ISO14001 and associated EHS systems.
* Display a positive and proactive attitude to health and safety, ensuring you lead by example following BMDS S4/S5 and Safety Conversation system.
* Set the example for your peers and motivate. Maintain professionalism, giving clear, concise instruction and constructive feedback to your peers and the wider department.
* Work toward exceeding the required targets for audits (Key 16, Quality pick-ups etc.).
* Ensure that all orders (Internal and external) are complete, clean (dust-free), with the correct information (Legible product print, flags, resin ID thread etc), are banded, and of merchantable quality, ready for despatch to the customer, adhering to BMDS despatch quality standards.
* Ensure that all reworked sheets are finished to the correct dimensions and are within the specified tolerances (Length, trims, 'in-square' etc.).
* Verify order completion by carrying out secondary checks regarding sheet counts in stacks where possible.
* Carry out a weekly inventory of all valley products onsite (finished goods, goods in rework, goods awaiting valley sanding).
* Check that all valley products are stacked, labelled and banded correctly on pallets that are fit for purpose.
* Separate finished goods from quarantined goods or those awaiting rework.
* Utilise the rework logging board, always keeping this current and relevant.
* Marshall goods to their respective area via FLT and / or combi-lift.
* Ensure that all sheets are secured within the GRP yard to reduce the risk of weather-related incidents (damaged sheet / injuries from loose sheets being lifted by strong winds etc.).
* Maintain the yard to 5S.
* Liaise with production to ensure the GRP lines are cleared to keeping downtime to a minimum and maximising efficiency.
* Occasionally you may be asked to adapt to reasonable requests outside your job role from the GRP Production Cell Manager.

Required Criteria
* Current FLT licence
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* A good basic underpinning knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001
* Some knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and with 5S bias.
* Strong team working skills.
* Highly communicative, able to communicate successfully at all levels with the ability to separate detail from overview.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Criteria
* Experience working in a team in a production / manufacturing environment
* Moderate level of IT skill with knowledge of MS word and excel.
