Specialist SEN Teacher – Supportive School in Haringey We are recruiting a Specialist SEN Teacher in Haringey to work with children with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia. Responsibilities: Teach students with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia, using specialised methods and resources. Design and deliver lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of each student, promoting both academic progress and personal confidence. Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring that teaching strategies are aligned with their specific needs. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the school’s leadership team. Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure that students receive comprehensive and consistent support. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest strategies and interventions for supporting children with learning difficulties. Experience and Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with specific learning difficulties, particularly dyslexia. In-depth knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties, including appropriate teaching strategies and interventions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Experience in working with small groups or in 1:1 settings to provide tailored support. A DBS check is required.
