Step Teachers are working closely with a Primary School in Palmers Green to find someone to join their team starting in April 2026 and running until the end of the academic year. The school was rated "Good" under Ofsted's previous rating-system for schools, and the leadership team pride themselves on creating an environment where both students and staff can feel comfortable, safe and relaxed in the classroom. This SEND Teaching Assistant would spend their mornings working 1:1 with a student in the Reception Class who requires personal care and additional support in the classroom, but who does not exhibit physically challenging behaviour. Afternoons would be spent supporting the Reception and Year 1 classes more generally. This is a great opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant who is experienced and comfortable providing personal care, but who is not necessarily looking for a role that includes a lot of severe challenging behaviour.
