Operational Resilience & Services Manager – UK/Lloyd’s

The Operational Resilience & Services Manager is responsible for overseeing key components of AXA UK & Lloyd’s operations and services. This role involves delivering operational resilience in the UK, managing third-party relationships, and providing operational support. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with AXA XL’s leadership team and influence the regulatory approach within the COO function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Resilience and Outsourcing – UK
o Implement and improve the Operational Resilience Roadmap, collaborating with the global team.
o Manage Important Business Services, Impact Tolerances, Dependency Mapping, Scenario Testing, Self-Assessments, and vulnerability mitigation.
o Report on operational resilience to UK executives, boards, and regulators.
o Foster an operational resilience culture through governance, training, and communication.
o Participate in relevant forums and activities.
2. Outsourcing & Third-Party Management
o Lead the Outsourcing Committee, ensuring governance and escalation procedures are followed.
o Support critical outsourcing activities and oversee UK Lloyd’s insurance arrangements.
o Engage with global committees and build relationships with vendors like LIMOSS and Velonetic.
3. Operational Services Support
o Advise on procurement, vendor management, and operational projects.
o Provide BAU support for outsourcing and vendor engagement.
o Oversee operational governance and reporting for UK & Lloyd’s COO.
4. Additional Responsibilities
o Ensure operational and service priorities are met.
o Coordinate with Global Technology on security KPIs and cyber initiatives.
o Lead process improvements and internal audits.
o Review Lloyd’s Minimum Standards controls.
o Manage KPI reporting and performance improvements with XLCSSE.
o Assist in cost and skill set optimization, including transition to offshore locations.
o Prepare COO reports for various committees and present findings.
The role involves interaction with multiple functions and senior leaders, requiring strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. It reports to the Chief of Staff, COO UK & Lloyd’s, and is part of the COO Office, responsible for UK & Lloyd’s operations.

* Experience in operational resilience and outsourcing, preferably within the UK regulatory environment and London market.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
* Service-oriented with a focus on innovation and simplification.
* Effective at high organizational levels, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
