Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Camunda Architect to join our team and play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, reliable business process automation solutions using the Camunda BPM platform. This role involves driving the architectural vision for process automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. The ideal candidate will also be a strong mentor, guiding development teams in adopting BPM best practices, and will support pre-sales activities by engaging with clients and shaping solution strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Development
* Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of scalable business process solutions using Camunda 8 or later.
* Translate business requirements into robust process designs, integrating with systems and services as needed.
* Define architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices for BPM development.
* Conduct code and design reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.
* Collaborate with DevOps teams to align CI/CD pipelines with architecture requirements.
Collaboration & Mentorship
* Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact automation projects.
* Provide technical mentorship to developers and junior architects.
* Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and internal workshops to promote BPM best practices.
Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
* Support pre-sales activities by participating in discovery sessions and shaping technical solutions.
* Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demos, and proposals to prospective clients.
* Contribute to solution estimates and high-level architecture planning during sales cycles.
Continuous Learning
* Stay up to date with advancements in the Camunda platform and industry trends in BPM and process orchestration.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an architect or senior developer working with Camunda BPM.
* Strong knowledge of BPMN, DMN, and CMMN standards.
* Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
* Familiarity with Kafka, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
* Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
* Experience mentoring development teams and driving technical excellence.
* Experience supporting pre-sales or client engagement activities is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
* Camunda Certified Developer or Architect.
* Experience migrating from legacy BPM platforms to Camunda.
* Knowledge of process monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization techniques
* Exposure to front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) for building user tasks/UI.
