Ward Administration Team Leader
Rivers Hospital – Sawbridgeworth
Part Time – hours per week
Due to our expanding service, we are looking to appoint a Ward Administration Team Leader. We are looking for someone who is an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated customer focused person to lead the team. You must have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working under pressure. Previous experience of leading a team, have excellent communication skills, and be able to demonstrate good leadership skills.
As a Team Leader, you will be required to:
1. Full line management of Ward Clerks, including overseeing department performance development reviews
2. Supporting training and development with staff manuals
3. Coordinating shift cover and team rostering
4. Managing complex resource allocation of patients to beds
5. Evaluating and anticipating hospital capacity by forecasting bed availability
6. Working across departments to increase the number of incoming theatre bookings
7. Maintaining strong communication between administrative and clinical interests in a multi-disciplinary team
8. Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
9. Assisting with hiring processes and new team member training
10. Overseeing team member work for quality and guideline compliance
11. Developing strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals
12. Working within the Standard Acute Contract guideline ensuring letters are processed within the timeframes required.
