Security Officer - Chester
Pay: £13.45 per hour, 42 hours per week.
About The Role
As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, property and assets while delivering a first‑class customer experience. You will maintain a secure and professional environment, remain vigilant at all times, and respond confidently to incidents when required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing a visible and professional security presence on site
- Protecting staff, visitors, property and assets
- Carrying out patrols, inspections and routine security duties
- Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies and suspicious activity
- Completing detailed incident reports and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring all assignment instructions and site procedures are followed
- Monitoring health and safety concerns and reporting hazards immediately
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining professional relationships with clients and visitors
- Working closely with management and emergency services where required
- Using initiative to identify and reduce potential risks
What We're Looking For
- Previous security experience
- Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
- CCTV SIA licence preferred
- Professional, smart and presentable at all times
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently
- Good understanding of health and safety and site compliance
- Willingness to complete additional training and continuous development
