The Role
Working as part of a team you will provide the facilities management for the Family Hubs and Start Well Centres across the borough, in line with the Council's standard operating procedures.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of site security, opening and closing buildings and ensuring all facilities in and around the buildings are in excellent condition, safe, secure and clean at all times, and that all equipment is maintained, and resources are available.
Duties include general repairs and maintenance, manual handling, general upkeep of the building, reporting any maintenance issues to the relevant department and undertaking fire safety and general health and safety checks to the building.
An essential car user allowance is payable as boroughwide travel across centres is required.
You will work as part of a rota, so a flexible approach to work is essential. The rota operates between the hours of 7 am and 6.30 pm with some later opening times up until 9 pm on a shared shift rota and some Saturday working on a shared rota.
About You
You will have a flexible approach to responding to the needs of the service and be able to provide the facilities management for service buildings to ensure they provide a safe and healthy environment for all service users.
You will be organised and committed to ensuring Bolton Family Hubs provide the best possible facilities to our children and families.
You will work flexibly as a part of a team, providing cover at other centres as and when required, and assisting staff and services users in a professional manner which reflects the values of the Council.
This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.

Salary & Benefits
Grade C, scp4 12,592 to scp6 12,994 per annum, plus essential car user allowance. 2 × 18.5 hours per week: 1 - 7.00 am until 10.45 am, 1 - 2.15 pm until 6.00 pm. Permanent.
