Vendor Risk Management (VRM) is part of the Chief Risk Office (CRO) and responsible for assisting Bloomberg departments and select subsidiaries of Bloomberg LP in the selection, assessment, mitigation and continuous monitoring of risks introduced by vendors and other third-party service providers.
What’s the role?
We are seeking a Vendor Risk Management Consultant to support the organisation in strengthening its resilience to third‑party risks. This role requires close collaboration with business leaders, procurement, legal, and business continuity teams to ensure critical supplier relationships are well-governed, resilient, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
We’ll trust you to:
* Critical Supplier Identification: Partner with business units to identify and assess critical suppliers across engagements, geographies, and lines of business.
* Risk Assessment & Disruption Analysis: Conduct supplier risk assessments, evaluating the potential impact of service disruptions on Bloomberg’s operations and clients.
* Collect financial data from vendors (via Terminal, external data sources, or directly from vendor via Process Unity).
* Perform quantitative financial analysis.
* Perform qualitative assessment using company financials, independent audit reports, etc. for a subset.
* Draft Executive Summaries for various risk assessments performed.
You’ll need to have:
* Risk Management Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise and third‑party risk management frameworks.
* Business Continuity & Exit Planning: Proven ability to document, design, and test exit strategies and business continuity plans.
* Contract Review & Analysis: Ability to interpret and align contractual obligations with risk and continuity requirements.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Experience working across Legal, Procurement, Business Continuity, and business stakeholders.
* Analytical Thinking: Skilled at evaluating vendor dependencies, risk scenarios, and impact assessments.
* Communication & Documentation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, actionable plans and reports.
* Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to align practices with evolving regulatory expectations and enterprise risk frameworks.
We’d love to see:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in vendor risk management, business continuity, or enterprise risk consulting.
