Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven Planner to join our team, working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, education, heritage, refurbishment, and non-residential new build projects. This role plays a critical part in the success of both pre-construction and live projects by ensuring the smooth procurement and management of materials, plant, and sundries essential for our construction projects, supporting our mission to deliver excellence.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate procurement of materials, plant, and sundries to meet project schedules.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor usage of materials on-site to optimize efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of material transactions.
* Assist in planning for future material requirements.
* Support site teams with logistical needs related to materials and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to materials handling.
* Qualifications
* Proven experience in procurement or materials management within the construction industry.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and team members.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction materials.
* Commercially aware with confidence to confidence to challenge quantities, quality and pricing.
* Problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
