Volunteer Complementary Therapist (Non-IPU)
We are seeking qualified and insured complementary therapists in massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, holistic facials, and reiki to provide therapy for patients and carers in Bishops Stortford and Waltham Cross. Additionally, those trained in Mindfulness, Relaxation, or Visualization are welcome to help run weekly group sessions.
The role requires a commitment of at least one regular half-day weekly, with available sessions on Wednesday from 9am to 12pm. Alternative times can be arranged with the manager.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality holistic care
* Collaborate with the therapy team
* Attend training, team meetings, and share best practices
* Maintain detailed records of interactions
* Follow policies and protocols
* Participate in supervision and ongoing education
* Maintain professional CPD
Qualifications and Experience:
* Level three complementary therapy qualification
* At least one year post-qualification experience
* Membership of a professional body (e.g., FHT, CTHA, CNHC)
Experience working with clients as a qualified therapist is required. Applications from both new and experienced therapists are encouraged, with opportunities to upskill.

A full Enhanced DBS check will be conducted. Volunteers should be at least 18, live nearby, commit for at least 6 months and 3 hours weekly. All applicants are assessed individually, and we promote diversity and equal opportunities.
