Job Description
We are seeking a new trustee to join our board. Our vision is for everyone served by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) to have access to world-leading healthcare, delivered by a thriving workforce and driven by medical research that has a global impact. We support over 17,000 staff of the RFL and their 2 million patients across Barnet, Chase Farm, North Mid, and Royal Free hospitals, as well as more than 30 NHS services.
As a solution-focused strategic partner to the RFL, we help our hospitals to progress further and faster than the NHS could alone. We believe funding decisions should be based on strategic priority and impact, with a strong focus on co-production. Our investments include: enhanced support for patients, vital support for staff, ground-breaking research and innovation, and cutting-edge medical equipment. The generosity of our donors, fundraisers, and volunteers enables us to achieve this.
We are looking for a trustee with strong financial expertise who is a strategic thinker, capable of balancing risk and opportunity. You should have excellent communication skills, and the ability to challenge both the executive and board colleagues collaboratively, using sound judgment.
