We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our Assets team and to manage the retrofit programme, driving refurbishment and energy improvements across our social housing properties while ensuring compliance with PAS 2035.
This role is essential to improving our housing stock quality and reducing carbon emissions and fuel poverty for our tenants.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with the grant funding agreement from the Department of Energy Security, Net Zero (DeSNeZ)
* Working with multi disciplinary teams to deliver on the warm home fund
* Preparing budgets, forecasts, and programme schedules.
* Submitting returns to DeZNeS as required by the funding agreement
* Co-ordinating the design, procurement, and delivery of refurbishment/retrofit projects.
* Build relationships with partner organisations, including DeSNeZ, Homes England, and tenant groups.
* Manage tenant liaison to ensure maximum buy in from tenants and provide support and information
In this role you will be able to work flexibly with access to our office space in central Canterbury for collaboration, team working and line management.
About you
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about enhancing Decent Homes Standards, working alongside an innovative FM Team to improve social housing.
To succeed you should demonstrate the below:
* Have a PAS2035 Retrofit Coordinator qualification; or
* HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant subject or substantial relevant experience;
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Qualified in the built environment (RIBA, RICS, CIOB) with experience managing reinvestment and retrofit programmes, budgets, and stakeholders (e.g., QS, Architect, Contractor), ideally in social housing or local authority.
* Skilled in financial appraisal, risk management, value-driven efficiency, and transformational change.
* Experience in design development, environmental standards, and working with Retrofit Coordinators, Assessors, and Designers.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven project management skills
* Knowledge of funding applications for retrofit and decarbonisation projects, and construction/technical expertise, including JCT, Building Regulations, and related legislation.
Overall, you will be ready to work collaboratively in a forward-thinking environment where your expertise is valued. In addition, a range of support and training initiatives will be put in place to assist the successful applicant in the delivery of this role.
