Main Purpose of Role: Managing, training, and providing overall support to the sales team of an assigned region. Setting reasonable sales targets to be achieved by the sales team. Monitoring the performance of the sales team and motivating members to meet or exceed sales targets. Key Responsibilities: - To be responsible for the delivery of the sales targets for themselves and individuals in their region - To maximise sales into an existing customer base and capture new business to growth their region - To lead, motivate and develop a team of Field Sales Advisors to achieve their regional and individual targets and objectives - To develop a strong customer relationship by understanding their requirements and tailoring the product & service offering to meet this - To produce & assess activity reports in order to target key sales areas - To develop & maintain knowledge of the Cogent portfolio of products & services & share this knowledge with their team - To ensure that the Cogent policies and procedures are adhered to by themselves and their team - To attend agricultural events to market and promote Cogent products & services - To develop & maintain knowledge of the industry and market trends & share their knowledge with their team - To continuously develop and improve both themselves, their team and processes and procedures - To comply with Company policy and best practise in security, legal and regulatory compliance Essential Skills: - Must have personal or professional experience within the agricultural industry. - Must have experience of leading a team of Sales Advisors - Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Breeding Industry - Ability to communicate with people at all levels - Must have excellent customer service skills - Possess a proven record of achieving sales targets - Smart and tidy appearance at all times - Excellent knowledge of the farms/buying groups in their region - Be flexible in their approach to getting the job done - Have a full UK driving license Key Performance Indicators: - Delivering both individual and team sales targets in line with budgets - Develop a highly successful sales team in your region Enhanced Benefits - Annual leave entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holiday, increasing with length of service up to 28 days plus bank holidays -Buy Annual Leave Scheme - Matched Pension Scheme - Life Assurance (4 times basic salary) - FREE BUPA healthcare and Dental Plan - Long Service Awards at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 years - Employee Discounts, high street, food, travel and much more Additional Information: As part of your role you may be required to stay away from home from time to time to attend meetings and events.
