The Custody business supports a fast-paced agenda to enhance client experience. This involves assimilating ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Custody Ops & Product Development) into a structured framework. Proper documentation and governance of initiatives are crucial for targeted, strategic decision making.
As a Custody Operations - Associate in the Custody Team, you will lead high-impact initiatives across People, Process, and Technology with senior leadership visibility. These programs often span multiple organizations, providing opportunities to collaborate with various stakeholders across Product, Ops, Product Development, Tech, and Compliance. You will identify opportunities for large-scale transformation using a data-driven approach, leveraging tools like Alteryx, Owl, Tableau, etc., and lead programs that aim to increase operational automation and efficiency. You will manage work streams/projects across the Corporate & Investment Bank, from assessment to recommendations and execution.
Job responsibilities
* Manage and execute complex projects ensuring timely delivery, due diligence, and system integration related to Custody & Middle Office Services.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple groups, including product, product development, core operations, technology, and finance, working closely with global partners on international initiatives.
* Assist in managing Custody Org IAS charter reviews, materiality assessments, exit plans, and governance questionnaires.
* Stay informed about industry-leading technology trends and recommend strategic implementations for the Custody business.
* Provide transparency to management through project governance, ensuring deadlines are met, initiatives are within budget, and risks are mitigated.
* Support other projects such as new business initiatives, CTS computations, run-the-bank projects, process reengineering, location strategy, IAS activities, and managing production issues.
* Participate in operational and project meetings, providing updates on project status, UAT management, and deployment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience in change programs implementing new business processes and controls.
* Ability to engage with demanding stakeholders and execute large-scale impact programs.
* Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, FX, cash management, and corporate actions.
* Proficiency in delivering presentations and providing clear, reasoned answers; capable of setting agendas for team meetings.
* Problem-solving skills to identify and address operational and technical issues.
* Experience in Custody Operations, Client Service, or Middle Office roles.
* Participation in strategic change initiatives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Knowledge of custody products and processes, which would be advantageous.
* Experience with implementing projects leveraging AI/ML, Blockchain technology, or IA tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
* Experience with IAS charter maintenance, materiality assessments, exit plans, and governance questionnaires.
