You will be responsible for repairing, replacing and maintaining all machinery and structures on site in an efficient and professional manner, either as part of a team or on some occasions by yourself as required. Working in our Newport Fridge Plant site, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
2. Understanding of Risk assessment/POWRA for maintenance jobs
3. Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and plant
4. Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
5. Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
6. Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Controller role
7. Undertakes maintenance according to the weekly plan and at weekends when required (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
8. Maintains engineering workshop and booking in/out of parts with Maintenance Manager
9. Coordinate suppliers, to include raising quotations for parts and services
10. Ensures availability of parts / critical spares working with Maintenance Manager
11. Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
12. Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community.

Qualifications
20. Electrical biased, time served apprenticeship with relevant qualifications
21. Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
