Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Family Support & Protection Team (formerly Child Protection) within a local authority. This role involves working with children and families to ensure safety, stability, and positive outcomes. The position offers a manageable workload, excellent support, and the opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives. The successful candidate will receive a R&R payment of £7,500 after 3 years and 1 day.
As a Social Worker, you will ensure that practice is consistent and supervised effectively, managing complex cases and decisions. You will build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and service users, advocating for best practices to prevent escalation of issues and meet the needs of children and families.
You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, supporting the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.

Candidate Profile:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach.
* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues.
* Continuous improvement mindset to achieve the best outcomes.
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
* Strong relationship-building skills with children and families.
* Commitment to high-quality service delivery.
* Experience working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams.
* Minimum 4 years of qualified experience.
Role Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Create individual care plans that respect diversity and promote dignity and empowerment.
* Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students.
