Clinical Supervisor (Clydebank, Dundee and South Queensferry Part-Time Hours Only) September 2025
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality telephone assessments and clinical supervision to a multi-disciplinary team as part of NHS 24’s tele-health and tele-care service.
* Act as an autonomous practitioner delivering comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessment to patients and/or their carers/relatives, resulting in safe and appropriate clinical decisions.
* Provide real-time clinical support to NHS 24 frontline staff to achieve safe, appropriate and person-centred outcomes.
* Facilitate the provision of accurate healthcare information, self-care/health improvement advice, and, where applicable, referral to the appropriate level and location of care to meet patient/carer needs.
* Deliver clinical supervision to non-clinical staff using a variety of models.
Who we are looking for
* Registered Adult Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
* Excellent clinical decision-making skills with the ability to provide ongoing clinical supervision and leadership.
* Extensive post-registration experience, preferably within acute or primary care, with broad knowledge across specialties.
* Strong critical decision-making skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Salary and Benefits
Enhanced salary package: Permanent contract on Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 (pro rata for part-time hours). Placement on the salary scale dependent on confirmation of previous NHS service.
Competitive enhancements for unsocial hours apply (basic hourly rate £21.57; Saturday/after 8pm weekday £32.34; Sunday/Public Holidays £43.13).
Earning potential: Example – starting salary £41,608 with 37, 30 or 24 hour rotas and 5 out of 8 weekends. See the job pack for totals and illustrative figures.
Shift patterns: 12, 18, 24, 30 hours/week across an 8-week rota. Examples include 12hrs with weekends, 18hrs with weekends, etc. The job pack contains example rotas.
