East Calder Primary School is a non-denominational school serving East Calder and the surrounding community. It is part of the West Calder High School cluster. The school currently has 370 pupils, including a nursery for up to 74 children in the morning/afternoon and full-day sessions. The school roll is growing due to new housing developments in the area.
The school collaborates closely with West Calder High School cluster schools and maintains strong partnerships with local community groups and businesses. East Calder Primary has a positive reputation within the community and is well-supported by the parent council and wider parent forum.
We are seeking a highly motivated Advanced Pupil Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to an Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) learner, working Monday to Thursday. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team, bringing knowledge of child development and additional support needs.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate has six months from the start date to complete registration. Applications must be submitted within three months of starting. If already registered, you must add West Lothian Council to your account.
This role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join or update their PVG Scheme check before an employment offer is made.
