Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Civil & Structural Designer. Reporting to the Directors, the purpose of the role is to support the delivery of engineering design projects across a range of industrial sectors. This role will play a key part in producing high-quality 2D and 3D design outputs, working closely with engineers and project teams.
Key Duties:
Produce detailed 2D and 3D civil and structural designs for industrial projects.
Develop models and drawings using Tekla and/or Revit, Advanced Steel or equivalent.
Support engineers in delivering design solutions from concept through to construction.
Prepare GA drawings, detailed design drawings and fabrication details.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, codes and client specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
Support junior designers where required.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years' experience in civil or structural design.
Minimum qualification: HNC or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Strong capability in both 2D and 3D design.
Experience using Tekla Structures and/or Revit.
Experience using AutoCAD.
Background in industrial sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical or food and beverage.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, standards and detailing practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
