In this role, you'll report to the Head of Shared Services and take full ownership of the trust's estate management strategy. You'll lead a team of site staff across multiple academies, ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, oversee planned maintenance, and manage both minor refurbishments and major capital projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in estates or facilities management (preferably in education or a similar multi-site environment), with experience leading teams, managing contractors, overseeing compliance, and handling capital projects. A strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and excellent leadership skills are essential.

The Role:
*Lead the estates function across multiple schools within the Trust, ensuring all sites are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
*Oversee and mentor distributed site teams, carrying out performance management, appraisals, and training.
*Manage planned and reactive maintenance programs, including statutory compliance and health & safety.
*Lead on small, medium, and large-scale estates projects, including refurbishments and capital improvements.
*Oversee budgets, risk registers, and the use of compliance software to track documentation and legal obligations.
The Person:
*Experienced in estates or facilities management, ideally across multiple sites.
*Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation (COSHH, NEBOSH desirable).
*Skilled in managing both in-house teams and external contractors
