About The Role
Join us in a pivotal role as the Purchasing/Procurement Manager for our IT department. You will play a pivotal role in steering the procurement of cutting-edge IT equipment and solutions, directly shaping our operational efficiency. You will guide and develop our purchasing team, prioritise urgent requests, and ensure seamless procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Spearhead the IT procurement process, aligning it with our organisational needs while keeping a sharp eye on cost-effectiveness.
2. Cultivate and leverage relationships with IT vendors, negotiating optimal terms to meet our requirements.
3. Work closely with IT asset managers to anticipate and fulfil technology needs ahead of time.
4. Ensure swift fulfilment of new service requests, especially critical ones, to uphold operational excellence.
5. Mentor and develop our purchasing team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous growth.
6. Scrutinise supplier proposals to ensure value, quality, and timely delivery, while refining purchasing policies for enhanced productivity.
7. Maintain comprehensive IT purchasing records for inventory and budget management, analysing procurement metrics to drive improvements and savings.
8. Manage procurement compliance with licensing, budget, and company policies, ensuring judicious allocation of resources.

18. Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
19. Up-to-date with IT trends and a robust network within the IT supply market.
20. Proficient with procurement and supply chain management software.
21. Excellent organisational skills, able to oversee multiple projects and deadlines.
22. Effective communication skills, adept at nurturing relationships with stakeholders.
23. Relevant professional certifications from CIPS or equivalent are advantageous.
