Infrastructure Support Engineer Basingstoke - Hybrid Our client is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join their talented support team to support BAU platform activities across a Windows cloud estate. Working within a team of 8 individuals this is a newly created role to the business. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide advanced 2nd and 3rd line IT support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues. Focus on finding the root cause and implementing permanent solutions. Platform Expertise: Work with Windows (or Linux) platforms, with a willingness to deepen knowledge in both. Visualisation & Storage: Administer visualisation technologies and storage arrays. Patch Management & Backup: Manage patching processes using software like SCCM or Intune, and handle backup concepts and software. Incident Management: Use commercial Incident, Problem, and Change management tools Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of systems, procedures, and incident resolutions. Provide regular reports as needed. Experience: Demonstrable experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support. Experience with Linux and/or Windows platforms. Familiarity with public cloud environments Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, VxRail, Nutanix). Experience with storage arrays (Dell Compellent, HPE Nimble). Experience with patch management software Knowledge of backup concepts and software. Proficiency PowerShell scripting. Endpoint protection and anti-virus management experience (SentinelOne). Experience with commercial incident, problem, and change management tools (BMC Remedy, Halo preferred).
