Industrial Automation Application Engineer – South East UK, you must live within this area.
Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. You must also have relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers, as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The successful candidate will be required to live in the South East area of the UK. This is a work-from-home role.
The Application Engineer is an expert who provides the best technical consulting and solutions for key Industrial Automation applications to the Sales Teams in the pre-sales phase of different industry segments of the company, considering commercial aspects when proposing solutions and supporting assigned projects. As each Application Engineer has their own specific field of expertise, commissioning, software, and controls functionalities are the required fields of expertise for this role.
Key Aspects Of The Role:
* Independently translates multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software solutions using the latest technologies.
* Focuses on the technical feasibility of proposals based on technical and application knowledge of the corresponding Industry/Technology Segment.
* Responsible for specification lists and writing the technical elements for customer proposals.
* Creates Requirement Specifications together with the customer.
* Ensures deadlines are met and projects are realized successfully.
* Reports all relevant activities and developments related to projects and manages project data in the company's information systems.
* Handles complaints by setting up action plans for the complaint desk if necessary.
* Discusses machine concepts to optimize machines, define specifications, and concepts.
* Supports the drafting of account plans.
* Acts as an interface between the customer and relevant departments within the company during the pre-sales phase, always in coordination with the sales engineer.
* Provides technical training and knowledge transfer to the team on specific products and applications.
* Supports compliance with norms and regulations.
* Identifies and supports winning projects.
* Manages project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
* Supports marketing campaigns and promotional activities within the company.
