The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust's (MFT) mission is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population through excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation, and teaching. MFT aims to attract, develop, and retain great people and is recognized internationally as a leading healthcare provider.
To support this mission, the Maternity Education and Workforce Department is seeking an enthusiastic Maternity Education Project Support Administrator to provide administrative and project support for maternity education and training at Saint Mary's Hospital Maternity Division (including NMGH, ORC, and Wythenshawe).
The project support administrator will be a key member of the maternity education team, providing comprehensive administrative support to assist the education teams in delivering business-as-usual workstreams and specific projects. Responsibilities include supporting the Consultant Lead for Education, Lead Midwife for Education and Practice Development, and ensuring that education and training for Midwives, Maternity Support Workers, Obstetricians, and Anaesthetists meet standards required by the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (Maternity Incentive Scheme), CQC, and are aligned with reports such as The Ockenden report and local learning priorities. The role involves quality assurance of training at a local level and requires a resourceful approach to managing complex responsibilities.
MFT is one of the largest NHS Trusts in England, with a turnover of over £3bn. We serve a population of 1 million patients across Manchester, Trafford, and beyond, fostering collaborative working and transformation. Our 30,000-strong workforce benefits from a scale of opportunity that is exceptional in the NHS.
We have created a digitally enabled organization to improve clinical quality, patient and staff experience, operational effectiveness, and to drive research and innovation through systems like Hive, our Electronic Patient Record launched in September 2022.
As a major academic research and education center, MFT provides a robust infrastructure to support high-quality research programs. We are also committed to sustainability through our Green Plan, aiming to make healthcare more environmentally sustainable.
At MFT, we foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, providing equal opportunities for career development in a fair, open, and transparent manner. We prioritize your health and wellbeing as we shape the future of our organization together.
