I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a welcoming primary school in Southend who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This role involves supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, assisting the class teacher with learning activities, and helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You may also provide general classroom support and help manage behaviour in line with school policies. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
A calm, patient and supportive approach
Confidence supporting learning and behaviour in the classroom
The ability to adapt and build positive relationships with pupils
A reliable and professional attitude
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
