A leading national housebuilder is looking to appoint a Strategic Land & Planning Surveyor / Manager to support the identification, promotion, and delivery of strategic land opportunities across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–6 years’ experience looking to step into a role with real responsibility and exposure to the full strategic land lifecycle.

• Strategic land or land teams within housebuilders
• Development agencies
• Minerals / aggregates or quarrying companies with planning and land promotion exposure
• Strategic land promotion businesses
💼 The Role
You’ll support the acquisition and promotion of strategic land opportunities, working closely with planning consultants, landowners, and local authorities to drive sites through the planning system.
Key responsibilities include:
• Identifying and assessing new strategic land opportunities
• Supporting the promotion of sites through the local plan process
• Assisting with planning strategy and planning applications
• Managing relationships with landowners, agents, and planning consultants
• Monitoring planning policy and emerging local plans across the region
🎯 About You
• 2–6 years’ experience in land, planning, or development
• Background in strategic land, development agency, minerals/aggregates, or housebuilding
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and land promotion
• Commercial awareness and the ability to assess site potential
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
