Grid Connection Strategy & Planning
Lead the grid connection strategy for all solar PV and BESS projects from early-stage site screening through to commissioning.
Evaluate grid capacity, constraints, hosting potential, and network reinforcement requirements.
Interconnection Process Management
Act as the primary point of contact with grid operators, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
Technical Analysis & Compliance
Ensure project designs meet applicable grid codes, standards, and utility requirements.
Evaluate plant performance parameters including reactive power capability, voltage control, frequency response, and ramp rate requirements.
Work closely with development, engineering, and construction teams to ensure grid requirements are incorporated into project designs and schedules.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers, EPC contractors, and external consultants to ensure grid compliance in inverter, transformer, and BESS specifications.
Provide grid-related input for financial modelling, including losses, curtailment risk, and grid upgrade costs.
Project Support & Risk Management
Identify and mitigate grid-related risks that could impact project timelines or economics.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
~Solid understanding of power system studies, grid codes, network standards, grid policies, and interconnection processes.
~ Understanding of energy markets, curtailment mechanisms, and grid congestion management.
