Our client is an Environmental Consultancy based in Leeds who were established in 2007 who offer a range of specialist environmental services to public and private sector organisations across the UK.
They are looking for someone to support them with their mission to improve sustainability in the UK. Supporting various clients to develop their sustainability credentials and to minimise their impact on the environment.
Your new role
This role involves advising organisations on implementing, auditing, and improving ISO frameworks such as ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 50001 (Energy Management), and related standards. You will leadpliance projects, conduct audits, and provide strategic guidance to ensure sustainable and legallypliant operations.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
1. Design, implement, and maintain ISO 14001 and other relevant management systems for clients.
2. Conduct internal and supplier audits to verifypliance with ISO standards and environmental regulations.
3. Identify gaps and rmend corrective actions to achieve certification and maintainpliance.
4. Advise clients on environmental legislation, permitting, and regulatory obligations.
5. Ensure alignment with local, national, and internationalpliance requirements.
6. Support client teams in building internal expertise for ongoingpliance management.
7. Monitor and evaluate environmental performance metrics.
8. Prepare detailedpliance reports and presentations for senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
9. Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related discipline.
10. A minimum of 5 years industry experience
11. Experience working within the waste management sector is preferred.
12. Strong knowledge of ISO standards, auditing techniques, andpliance frameworks.
13. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
14. Effectivemunication and stakeholder management abilities.
15. Experience working with a wide range of clients including local authorities
