Our client is a growing renewable energy company committed to delivering high-quality solar and battery systems, backed by outstanding customer care. They believe in doing things properly, looking after people, and building a business everyone can be proud of.
They are now looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Electrician) to become the go-to person for after-sales technical support. This is a varied role combining customer-facing technical support with hands-on electrical work, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and taking ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Customer Care
* Act as the main point of contact for all after-sales technical enquiries
* Support customers with fault-finding and troubleshooting of solar PV and battery systems
* Liaise with manufacturers to resolve technical issues efficiently
* Ensure customers feel informed, supported, and well looked after
* Take ownership of issues from first contact through to resolution
Electrical & On-Site Support
* Assist installation teams on-site when required
* Carry out electrical works including wiring batteries, inverters, and associated systems
* Provide additional technical expertise and guidance to the wider team
You will effectively lead this function, with support from experienced engineers within the business.
What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
Desirable
* Experience with solar PV, battery storage, or renewable energy systems
* Previous experience in a technical support or after-sales role
* Good understanding of inverter and battery technologies
