Experienced Support Worker – located in the Beeston/Toton area of Nottingham NG9. 12 Month's Fixed Term Contract. 37.5 hrs. | £12.62 ph. You’ll bring a happy, upbeat attitude and be ready to support with a variety of activities, be a great team player and connect well with family members.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We are a friendly group aged 27–62 who enjoy having a laugh together. We live in a three‑bedroom bungalow with a staff room and a large grassed back garden with trees and fields behind it. We live with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Myoclonic Absence Epilepsy, learning disabilities and Type 2 diabetes, and we need support with communication, budgeting, medication, shopping and our health. We enjoy day centres, voluntary jobs, walking, garden centre visits, shopping, meals out, cinema trips, bowling, singing, dancing and chatting over a cup of tea. Our interests include gaming, films, shopping, cars, TV programmes, singing, dancing and keeping on top of appointments. We have shifts that normally start at 10am (sometimes 9am) and finish at 8pm, with shorter shifts when needed for our activities. We also have sleep shifts from 10pm to 7am.

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience.
